A folding carton die cuts, folds and glues, and then ships flat to the customer where it is then assembled to profile. This saves in shipping and inventory costs as flat shipping optimizes space in packaging. Whereas, rigid setup boxes are pre-assembled, and remain at profile through shipping and storage. Rigid setup boxes often come in two parts – base and lid – and offer increased rigidity over folding cartons.

A PMS color, or a “Pantone Matching System” color (also referred to as spot colors), is a specific ink color determined by the Pantone color system; whereas, CMYK is a 4 color process that uses a mixture of Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y), and Black (K) at given values to create full color images. Example: most desktop printers use CMYK formulas to print color images.

There are no minimum order quantities at Marion Paper Box Co. However, job pricing is strongly influenced by order quantities. This is due to machine setup times and clerical work that is associated with the processing of any job. As order quantities increase, the cost of these processes are spread out across the higher volume produced, therefore, decreasing the price per unit.

As most designers are using programs within the Adobe Suite, submitting packaged .AI or .INDD files from Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Indesign is a great option, as long as all fonts are included in the package or converted to outlines before submitting. Another option is to submit a .PDF file of the artwork. All pixel based images need to be formatted at 300 DPI or higher for best quality results.

Yes. Marion Paper Box Co. has a design team that offers full product mock-ups prior to production runs. Mockups are produced with the same materials, and to the same specs as the full production run, as to give the best representation of the final product. Any design or material changes can happen at this point in the manufacturing process to provide customers with the perfect end product.

Product turnaround times greatly depend on the style and quantity of a given order. However, the average turn time at Marion Paper Box Co. is between 10 – 15 business days from the time of order confirmation.
